Aspose API for Java Integration with Jetbrains IDE
Aspose has created a plugin for the JetBrains IDE that lets Java developers download and install Aspose APIs from within IntelliJ IDEA. By using the plugin’s Aspose Project Wizard feature and selecting the required Aspose APIs in this step by step wizard, the plugin creates a Java project where you can just start using the Aspose APIs powerful file processing features. A cool thing about this plugin is that it integrates with IntelliJ IDEA in the native flow.
Aspose.Cells for Java and Apache POI SS Comparison for Features and Usage

Aspose.Slides for Java 8.5.0 released
[![][1] We like to share the release announcement for Aspose.Slides for Java 8.5.0. This is a maintenance release that focuses on rectifying text rendering and chart support issues.
Fixes and Improvements We have resolved several text rendering issues in this release, including bullet rendering, improper text strike out and wrong text color rendering for generated PDF and thumbnails. We have resolved improper chart rendering issues as well in this release, including issues with the wrong chart area color, missing markers, missing high-low lines and wrong chart type getting rendered in exported PDFs.
Support for Generating Slide Shape Images, Getting Shape and Slide IDs in Aspose.Slides for .NET 14.3.0
[![][1] We like to share the release announcement of Aspose.Slides for .NET 14.3.0. This is one of our major product releases where we have included some new features and resolved several issues.
New Features We have introduced support for generating individual slide thumbnails in this release. The feature has been requested by many of our customers and now you can generate the shape thumbnail with both actual and user defined dimensions.
Heartbleed bug - Aspose APIs are not affected with the vulnerability
The Heartbleed bug is a security vulnerability recently discovered in the OpenSSL library. Detailed information about Heartbleed bug can be found at Heartbleed.com and Wikipedia.com.
We’re pleased to share with our customers that Aspose’s downloadable and Cloud APIs are not affected by this security bug. In general, Microsoft Windows and IIS are not impacted with this vulnerability. As we use Windows and IIS for all the development and deployments our systems were not impacted.

As the Java version is ported from Aspose.Pdf for .NET, its version number has been changed to reflect the .NET version it comes from. Create a Secure PDF using Aspose.Pdf for SharePoint 1.9.0
We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Pdf for SharePoint 1.9.0.
This month’s release includes a new exciting feature, that lets you create secure PDF files. Installing Aspose.Pdf for SharePoint adds a “PDF Secure Settings” option to Site Setting. With this, it is possible to set the user password, owner password and any encryption algorithm from the list. The algorithm list provides different combinations of encryption algorithms and key sizes.
