Today we announce the second major release of HTML5 Spreadsheet Editor. It comes with exciting new features that makes it even easier to edit spreadsheets online.
HTML5 Spreadsheet Editor is a web application that allows users to view and edit Microsoft Excel files online using a web browser, without installing any additional software. It uses Aspose.Cells for Java on the server-side to read, create, manipulate and render the files. Aspose.Cells for Java is a powerful tool for working with Microsoft Excel files in a Java application.
Aspose.Cells for Java - Comparison for Features and Usage with Xlsx4j
Project Aspose for Java for Docx4j shows how different tasks can be performed using Aspose for Java APIs in comparison with Docx4j for spreadsheets, particularly Xlsx4j. The project also covers the features that are only available in Aspose APIs but not in Xlsx4j for Microsoft Excel and Open Office spreadsheets.

Get Worksheet Instance of the Chart using C# Before the release of Aspose.Cells for .NET 8.2.2, retrieving the Worksheet instance from the Chart object was not possible.

I have shared some sample projects that worked as tutorial or demonstration for Aspose products. This time, I tried something a little bigger – HTML5 Spreadsheet Editor. Yes, I am sharing a web application that loads a Microsoft Excel file, and lets you view and edit it in a web browser. The initial version is limited in its functionality. I’ll release newer versions from time to time to make a complete replacement of desktop software.
